Western Power Plant to Run the ASI Patented
A 4 Unit coal fired power plant located in the Southwest has decided to run ASI's Patented Eco-Safe™ demo plant for one month starting April 22th. The trial will utilize plant cooling tower blowdown as the feed source to the Eco-Safe™ unit. The Eco-Safe™ unit is a trailer mounted unit that is fully automated and capable of running unattended. The process is being used to evaluate this new technology and to determine if it will help this plant lower its water use and respond to increased environmental demands. This technology will further demonstrate the power company's look to the future and its commitment to environmental stewardship.
The Eco-Safe™ technology will decrease the plant's operating costs as well as reduce its raw water usage by up to 1000 gallons per minute. In addition to these benefits will be the ability for Eco-Safe™ to reduce scale potential throughout the power plant's cooling water system.
